Ralph Dise

Ralph Dise

Ralph Dise, the founder and president of Dise & Company, continues to enjoy his career-long interest in developing leaders and helping organizations succeed. Following college graduation, he joined the staff of a U.S. Senate campaign (that exposed him to political leaders of every stripe) before moving on to positions in government and private industry where he honed his human resource skills. Ralph notes that he learned his earliest leadership lessons as a teenager while attending a summer military program.

In 1991 Ralph started Dise & Company as a one-person business specializing in outplacement at a time when downsizing was accelerating. Under his guidance, the firm became multi-faceted to help companies find the very best talent (executive search), develop and retain top performers (executive coaching), as well as separate employees with empathy and dignity (corporate outplacement). With 30-plus years of experience in working with a variety of clients—from multinational manufacturers to world renowned arts organizations to emerging entrepreneurial ventures and major hospital systems—Ralph is in high demand by executives and boards alike.

Ralph has an MBA from Bowling Green State University (Ohio), and a BA from Westminster College (Pennsylvania). He has completed Harvard Business School’s Leading the Professional Service Firm Program and is a graduate of the COSE Strategic Planning Course. Past president of the Northern Ohio Human Resource Planning Society, Ralph is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. He is a graduate of Leadership Cleveland, class of 2003.

An active participant in the Entrepreneurs Association at John Carroll University, Ralph is a member of the Board of Directors of: Aexcel Corporation; CHAMP; Center for Health Affairs; Culver Summer Schools Alumni Association; Roots of American Music; and Greater Cleveland Boy Scouts of America. In July 2014 he was elected to the Board of Trustees of Westminster College and serves on the Executive Committee.
